The Greek Language
As the most well-documented of any Indo-European language, Greek is the official language of Greece. Interestingly, 99% of the population speaks their native language, around 13 million people. Greek is also the official language of Cyprus.
The Greek alphabet contains 24 letters, both upper and lowercase, and sigma has two lowercase forms. Due to its long history, Greek has influenced other languages over time; around 12% of the English vocabulary is from the Greek language. Outside of Greece, there are large speaking communities in Egypt, South Africa, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States.
