THE IGBO LANGUAGE
One of the three main languages in Nigeria is Igbo. It is less commonly spoken than Hausa and Yoruba, but the Igbo people number 20 to 25 million and are spread all over Nigeria.
The Igbo language is passed down orally and is the second most common indigenous language in southern Nigeria.
Because the Igbo people place a high value on education, its diasporic communities have spread to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and across the world.
